Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We had an excellent start to the festive season with our Christmas Ball at The Richmond Hill Hotel. As a society we've had much to celebrate in 2010; The world premiere of What You Will and a fantastic run at Richmond with Crazy For You. We have a very exciting 2011 in front of us with a trip to Minack with Guys and Dolls and When Midnight Strikes at Hampton Hill Playhouse in October.

With all that to look forward to we'd like to wish you Seasons Greetings from all on the committee and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

Belated Congratulations

All of us on the committee would like to offer our belated congratulations to Diego Avilla. Diego was amongst several BROS TC members and productions, which were nominated for Arts Richmond Swan Awards this year.

Diego won the Arts Richmond Swan Award for Best Supporting Male Performer in a Musical, for his role as Dandini in our 2009 production of Cinderella.

I believe I'm right in saying that the citation read, "In a genre that traditionally has to be generously over the top, Diego was gorgeously more so: a firecracker of a performance".

I would also like to add how proud we were of our other nominations.

Forthcoming show news

Hello Everyone from your (not so) new Chairman!

Details of your new Committee and their responsibilities and contact details can be found on the Committee page of the website and I'd like to thank everyone for the support and help they've given me over the last month whilst I've been finding my feet in "the chair".

We are all very excited to be planning the next BROS year and there will be much for everyone to look forward to, starting with next week's production of Crazy For You, which is going to be fantastic! I am extremely privileged to start my official year by welcoming you all to a show of such high quality that is accessible, enjoyable and of course, glamorous! If you haven't booked your tickets already, hurry up - they are selling fast and time is running out!!

Hot on the heels of Crazy For You will be the presentation evening for Guys and Dolls, which will be performed at the spectacular Minack Theatre in Cornwall next May,  and then we will be looking forward to the Christmas Ball  - a few tickets still available, but book soon as numbers are strictly limited.

Finally, we are  pleased to announce that our Autumn 2011 production at the Hampton Hill Playhouse will be "When Midnight Strikes".  Directed by Andy Yeates & Wesley Henderson Roe, this is an exciting new show  by Charles Miller and Kevin Hammonds.  Full details to follow, but as a taster...
Imagine you were hosting a New Year’s Eve party on the Millenium Eve and moments before the guests arrive you discover a lover’s note in your partner’s pocket!
With 10 invited guests and 3 unexpected additions the party goes from bad to worse as personalities vie for attention or become objects of suspicion as possible affair candidates.

I think that brings us up to date and look forward to seeing you all at Richmond Theatre next week

Lottie
